DRAMATIS PERSONAE
Windbent (aka Lennis), The Husband, Sadie the Cat
THE PROLOGUE
Windbent decided to join blog hops in order to help her stay current with her blog and challenge her to learn new skills and hopefully make new crafty friends. She heard of a bead exchange called the Bead Soup Blog Party organized by Lori Anderson, where one person trades beads with another person, creates fun jewelry or art, and blogs about it. Each person must use the focal and clasp they are sent, all other beads are optional, and each person can feel free to add items from their stash to mix it up. For a refresher on what Windbent was sent, go here. For a refresher on what Windbent sent Linda Florian from Lily’s of the Valley Jewelry & Creative Creations, go here. Let the beading begin.
ACT ONE: I GOT THIS IN THE BAG
Windbent: I’ve gotten into making rings lately with this big stash of vintage buttons I have. I’ll make a ring…in fact, I like this ring idea so much, I’ll make three. This is awesome. I got this in the bag.
ACT TWO: IN THE WEEDS
Sadie the Cat: I think I’ll bat this little piece of metal off the table and onto the floor. Shiny.
Windbent: Where is the other bead cap I wanted to use for the earrings? I need sari ribbon. Oh look, a broken belt and some scrap metal. What do I do with this? I need more time! I hate silver (why did I use silver?) Is it too late to wrap all the silver in bronze wire? I hate tuna. People are going to hate it. Wow, when did I get old? My younger self would have totally loved this! Rock-n-Roll man.
The Husband: That’s fantastic. It looks Goth. You should make a whole line like that. That will sell.
Windbent: Are you sure?
ACT THREE: IT’S TOO LATE NOW
Windbent: Maybe I’ll tone down my next few pieces…
FINAL ACT: IS THAT ALL?
Windbent: I’d still like to make a bracelet and I have my “cheesecake” pin-up girls ready, so I’ll go order a wider silver cuff base. No reason to give up on the color scheme just because I’ve eaten all my soup!

Wow – all your pieces are awesome. Those rings are amazing – and I really like the second one – sort of like an eye looking at you :). I seriously am in love with the “Goth” necklace – such a big and bold statement piece – awesome! I can’t wait to see what you do with the “pin-up” girls!!!
Thank you. It’s not my usual style at all so I’m still a little unsure. Your comments helped my anxiety!
That’s the ring I gave to a friend who got a new job and is moving away. I’ll do a follow-up post on the bracelet.

Act 2 is amazing. I just love the pendent & how constructed it all together. I would love to wear something that amazing.
Oh heck, you had me cracking up! I love the way you wrote your post, and you are a very creative soul. I’m one of the ‘something for everyone’ pieces, but I love your design of the big piece. Thanks for the smiles!
Seriously cool! I love all of the rings. Yup, act 2. In the weeds. Don’t I know that feeling! You really pulled this together in a unique way!
I say keep all three rings … they’ll all look great with that necklace! Loved your narrative too … I think you did a great job with your bead soup!

What a really cute way you laid this post out. Super funny! As far as the pieces you made, they are all great, but that ‘goth’ necklace is my favorite. Very well done!!
I am loving your blog as much as I love your designs. Such a clever person.

Great designs. I love red and black!
I love that bold necklace – so rockin’!!!
I enjoyed reading your post so much. And what you did with your bead soup? Wow! That Goth necklace is amazing – and yes, I agree with Brit Husband, it would totally sell. But being the ‘less is more’ type, I love that you made something just for me and my people. That zipper pull would be perfect for one of my many bags 🙂
Funny commentary and cool statement pieces, keep calm & carry on! 😀
I think the red, black and silver colour scheme is great. I especially love the rings.
I really enjoyed your charming “production” and the jewelry is fantastic. Great job!
Hi Lennis,
Great pieces! I like the bold piece, but I am more the small and simple type of person so I really like the simple necklace the most.
Therese

Great story and great creations from your soup!
I love the bracelet and earrings the best! Wonderful creations.
Thank you. I think you mean the choker; I wore it tonight actually.
I think you used all your soup really creatively. That unusual focal would have stumped me for sure and I think you nailed the style perfectly. Definitely keep a ring, they are all cute.
