The Soup I Sent

My partner for the Bead Soup Blog Party is Linda from Lily’s of the Valley Jewelry & Creative Creations.  You can visit her blog to see the sweet little wool birds she makes among other things.  Now that she has received her soup, I can give you a peek at what I sent her:

I did send the “focal” in pieces so she could have maximum creative control. I was a little worried so I asked Lori Anderson if that was okay and she said to send instructions on how to connect them.  Of course, these could be used separately!  So:  a little Sari ribbon; a brass ox B’Sue Boutiques flower connector; vintage copper plated flower parts; vintage brass bezel; a solid copper toggle; assorted copper plated spacers and findings (including rivets); light green, copper and clear glass cake beads; vintage Czech jet glass beads; Czech fire polished green beads; vintage 22mm jet glass faceted buttons; some other buttons from my stash; some frosted green glass beads; vintage green and black twisted givre beads; and watch parts!

Stay tuned to see what I get in my soup.

About windbent

I try to reclaim, reuse and re-love items from our past and make them modern again. I see my jewelry as a fusion of old and new, cross cultural, and spanning time periods. Because I use vintage items within my jewelry, there may be age related signs of love that make them special. Each piece will be unique or made in small batches that are similar, but still different. If I find an item I love and it doesn't want to become jewelry, I give it a new home in another art format.
